About
MK-1 is a DJ for hire in Sydney, NSW.
MK-1 started DJing at 15 in Sydney under the wing of New York's DJ Steve Dee, founder of the X-Men and the inventor of beat juggling. That lineage matters in hip hop, and it explains the standing MK-1 holds among Australian DJs, both peers and the ones he's taught. Turntablism, deep knowledge of the culture, and the skill to back it up. If you want a hip hop DJ who can actually cut rather than press play, this is that booking.
