About
DJ PeterD is a DJ for hire in Hastings, VIC.
DJ and MC in one booking, run out of Hastings in Victoria. Weddings are the main work, though plenty of public events have come through as well. The difference they claim is in the MC side: someone who works the crowd rather than just plays through a list. The business holds PPCA and public liability, and every piece of equipment is tagged and tested to DJ Alliance Australasia requirements. Setup depends on the venue and the size of the crowd, and the music follows whoever's in front of them.

The show
You get more than someone standing behind a laptop. The service has picked up awards, and the difference shows in the MC side of it: they'll work your crowd, keep the running order moving and handle the announcements rather than leaving that to a nervous relative with a microphone. Entertaining the room is treated as part of the booking, not an extra. At a wedding especially, that's the part guests remember afterwards.
