About
DJ Mark H is a DJ for hire in Mosman, NSW.
Progressive house and techno are the specialty, with old skool rave, breaks, electronica and 90s house close behind. Mark H has been producing under various aliases since 1998 and works with dance music brands on festivals and tours, which is a different kind of experience to most mobile DJs. He's played dusty warehouses and luxury yachts. Private events go open format instead: 60s to 2000s classics, R&B, pop, rap, rock, jazz, metal, Bollywood, Afro house, Ibiza material. Sound, lighting and a mic for speeches all come with him, though you'll want your own MC. Bump in takes an hour, bump out about 40 minutes, and he needs roughly 2.5 metres by 1.5 metres plus a 2400 watt circuit. Public, product and professional liability cover, a Working With Children Check, police check and RSA, and he's verified for NSW schools. Kids discos are a separate line of work, glow option included.

The show
Everything arrives with him: sound, lighting, and a microphone for speeches. You will want your own MC though, because that's not part of the job here. The feel is relaxed but with energy underneath, music matched to your particular crowd, and a night that flows from start to finish without obvious gaps. Nothing for you to stress about on the day, which is really the point of booking someone who's been doing this since 1998.
On the day
Bump in takes an hour and bump out roughly 40 minutes, so factor that into your venue access times. The setup needs about 2.5 metres wide by 1.5 metres deep, plus a power point on a circuit rated to 2400 watts. Bigger events shift all of those numbers upwards, needing more time, more equipment and more power, so mention your guest numbers early and it gets planned properly.
Performance options
Party bookings bring pro sound and lighting, a custom playlist, requests, the DJ booth and a microphone, with setup and pack down included. A basic version drops the lighting and keeps the sound, playlist, requests and booth. Boat work is catered for with a pro speaker, DJ tech and two lighting fixtures. There's a separate kids disco option with sound, lighting including a glow setup, a playlist, games, DJ table and mic. Underground sets of progressive house and techno can be booked on their own. Lighting choices run to lasers, moving heads, wash lights, LED bars, UV and derby effects, and custom builds are available for rooms up to 300 people.
