About
DJ Ems is a DJ for hire in Morpeth, NSW.
Emile has spent years on microphones in clubs and pubs, and it shows in the hosting. DJ Ems covers three jobs in one booking: DJ, karaoke host and wedding MC, with solo, duo and larger setups available depending on the night. Music runs through Spotify and YouTube with your own song list welcome, so mention early if the venue has no Wi-Fi and everything gets loaded onto drives instead. Setup and sound checks happen well before guests arrive, uplighting and wireless microphones are available, and full public liability insurance is in place. Based at Morpeth in the Hunter, the act works everything from rowdy karaoke nights to wedding receptions.
The show
No fuss is the guiding idea. It's your event, so the night runs the way you want it to run rather than the way it's always been done. Emile has years behind microphones in clubs and pubs, and that experience shows up in the hosting: announcements land, the running order stays on track, and nothing feels laboured. A lot of the work here comes from guests who were at a previous event and booked their own on the strength of it.
On the day
Setup and sound checks are done well before anyone arrives, so guests walk into a room that's already ready rather than one still being assembled. Extra equipment is available if you want the room to look like something: uplighting around the walls, wireless microphones for speeches, additional speakers where the space needs them. Worth flagging what you're after when you enquire so it's loaded in the van.
Performance options
The booking covers three jobs in one: DJ, karaoke host and wedding MC. Setups run from solo through to duo and larger, depending on the size of the night. Quotes come back written and get honoured as given, and the travel involved shapes what's on offer, so mention your venue when you get in touch.
