About
Divergent Divas Entertainment is a DJ for hire in Perth, WA.
DJ and MC together, which saves you hiring two people who then have to coordinate. Divergent Divas Entertainment run Perth weddings, parties and corporate nights, and the MC side means someone is quietly handling the running order, talking to the caterers and cueing the speeches while you enjoy your own event. Karaoke and acoustic entertainment are also on the list, along with kids' discos and school socials. Requests from guests are welcomed rather than tolerated. Setup takes about 90 minutes and pack down 30 to 45, neither of which is charged. Public liability cover and working with children checks are current.
The show
You get a DJ and an MC in the same booking, which is less about saving a fee and more about the two roles actually talking to each other. The MC side means somebody is quietly running your itinerary: cueing speeches, checking in with the caterers, keeping the order of the night moving so you're a guest at your own party instead of the person watching the clock. Karaoke can run alongside the DJ set, with a song library over 75,000 deep and topped up weekly, so the latest thing on the radio is usually already in there. Acoustic entertainment is on the list too.
On the day
Give them about an hour and a half in the room before your start time. That's not padding. It covers a safe setup, a proper sound check and the extra bits that get missed when a rig goes up in a rush. Pack down afterwards runs 30 to 45 minutes. Neither the setup nor the pack down is charged, so the hours you're paying for are the hours the music is actually playing.
