About
Betty Bloom is a DJ for hire in Perth, WA.
Betty Bloom DJs and MCs, which saves a Perth event booking two people to do one job. The record collection is genuinely broad: 1920s through to today, taking in rock, grunge, motown, funk, soul, disco, house, drum and bass, amapiano, baile and even country. She reads a floor and picks the moment, then picks up the microphone and keeps the running order moving. Acoustic musicians and photo booths can be added. All equipment and party lighting are included. She needs power, space, a covered area if there's any chance of rain, clear load-in access, and a meal on jobs of four hours or more. Fully insured for public liability, with a working with children check.
The show
Betty reads a floor and then picks the right record for it, which sounds simple and isn't. The collection runs from the 1920s to now, taking in rock, grunge, motown, funk, soul, disco, house, drum and bass, amapiano and baile, so there's an answer for whatever the room turns out to want. She MCs as well, so the announcements and the running order are handled by the same person controlling the music. That's one less supplier and one less handover. Weddings, parties, corporate nights.
On the day
Power and enough space for the setup. A covered area if she's outdoors or if there's any chance of rain. Clear access for loading in, since there's gear to move. And a meal if she's on site four hours or more.
Performance options
Every booking includes all the equipment and party lighting, so there's nothing to hire separately. Acoustic musicians and a photo booth can be added if you want more than DJ and MC on the night.
