About
Amraks is a DJ for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Amraks plays euphoric, melodic, slightly left-of-centre dance music, built from driving breaks and house with ambient and low-tempo influences underneath. He came up in the Canberra scene from 2018, playing alongside Duskus, Kettama, Skin On Skin, Willaris K, HAAi, Human Movement and X Club, then moved to Melbourne in 2021. Since then he's released singles including Takara, Quartz/Basalt, Surface and WantMe2, with support from Jacques Greene on Rinse FM and Pretty Girl at Mix Mag Lab in London, plus airplay on Triple J, FBi Radio and Area 3000. His sets weave his own material in with garage-flavoured records and a lot of synth.
