About
Flowetics is a dancer for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Three women, poi, hoop, dragon staff and fans. Flowetics is a Melbourne troupe built around prop manipulation and dance, working in daytime, LED and fire, with choreographed routines sitting alongside freer multi prop pieces. Circus arts feed into the movement, so it reads as dance rather than a trick display. No setup at all for daytime or LED. Fire takes 15 to 20 minutes to prepare properly and needs four square metres per performer, indoors or out. No fixed set list, since the music follows the theme of the event. All performers carry public liability insurance.
Watch
The show
Three women, several props each, and routines that combine prop manipulation with circus arts and dance. Some pieces are choreographed and some run freer with the props changing through them. They work daytime, LED and fire, so the same troupe covers an afternoon and a late night differently. The dance training is what you notice. It reads as movement rather than a run of tricks.
On the day
Daytime and LED performances need nothing from you at all. Fire is the one with requirements: roughly 15 to 20 minutes of preparation so the safety procedure is done properly, and four square metres of space for each performer. That applies indoors and out, so multiply it by however many performers you've booked and check the area holds it.
