About
Flavella L'Amour is a dancer for hire in Adelaide, SA.
Flavella L'Amour performs as Serpent Dancer in Adelaide, an award-winning act built around the old art of dancing with live pythons. A belly dance set opens with veils or Isis wings, picks up into percussive dance, then slows before the serpent finale. The burlesque version starts with a feather fan dance and ends the same striking way. Themed shows are available too, from Goddess Isis to Queen of the Jungle. Roving or staged, five to twenty minutes, and the costumes are the kind guests photograph. She's insured and permitted, and asks only for a sound system or a change room.
Watch
The show
Live pythons, and costumes guests will have their phones out for. Serpent Dancer works as a stage show, a floor show or roving through a crowd, and the serpent work is the part people talk about afterwards. It's an old art and not many performers in the country do it. Around that sits proper dance: veils, wings, percussive sections, all of it in glamorous costuming. Expect a room that goes quiet at exactly the right moment, then loud again once the snake appears.
On the day
A sound system at the venue works, and where there isn't one, a portable speaker comes along instead. The other ask is a change room, or any private space that can be locked or watched, for costumes and belongings. Given what she performs with, somewhere secure to keep things before and after the show isn't a luxury. Both are easy to sort in most venues if you flag them when booking.
Performance options
Roving serpent entertainment moves through the crowd, which suits a cocktail hour or a party where people are standing. A stage or floor show runs five to twenty minutes and gives everyone one thing to watch. Combine the two and you get a set piece plus roving around it, which works well across a longer evening. Themed shows are available as well, and the whole thing can be shaped around the look of your event.
What they perform
My burlesque cabaret show begins with a glamorous feather fan dance and culminates into a seductive snake dance
My themed shows such as Goddess Isis, the Peacock or Queen of the Jungle begin with an introduction dance and an exquisite serpent dance finale
