About
The Wayward Johnsons is a cover band for hire in Tamborine, QLD.
Horns. That's the first thing you notice about The Wayward Johnsons Party Band, and it's what separates them from most function bands on the Gold Coast hinterland. Behind the punchy horn section sit powerhouse vocals and a rhythm section that stays tight through a long night. The set runs from classic party anthems to modern favourites: ABBA, the Beatles, Amy Winehouse, Blur, Bruce Springsteen, Boz Scaggs, Bob Marley and plenty more. Weddings, corporate events, festivals and private functions all suit. They bring their own PA and backline, so the venue just needs to give them room.
Watch
The show
A loud, fast night with a horn section driving it. The vocals sit out front with real force, the rhythm section holds steady underneath, and the horns give the whole thing a punch most function bands cannot manage. Song choices run from old party staples to newer floor fillers, and the band shifts between them by watching what the room is doing. They have played weddings, corporate nights, festivals and private parties, and the approach is much the same at each: read the crowd, keep the floor busy.
