The Phoatones is a cover band for hire in Adelaide, SA.
Adelaide band with one foot in 60s rock and the other in 90s and 2000s indie-pop. The Beatles at one end, Oasis and The Killers at the other, plus a good deal of what sits between them. The Phoatones can work as a duo, a trio or a four-piece, so the same songs can be a quiet corner of a wedding or a full dance floor later in the night. They've got their own PA and backline, and the ask is modest: a couple of power points, roughly four metres by three, and cover from the weather if it's outdoors. Insured.

The show
Sixties rock meets nineties and noughties indie-pop, which sounds like an odd pairing until you hear The Beatles run into The Killers. Oasis is in there, plus a good spread of what sits between those decades. The playing is tight and the energy is high without being exhausting, and the songs are ones your guests will already know. Weddings, birthdays and corporate nights all get the same treatment.
On the day
Two power outlets at minimum, and roughly four metres by three of playing space, which they can flex if the room is awkward. Outdoors they'll need cover from rain and sun. Parking close to where they're playing makes unloading a lot quicker. They can bring their own PA and backline, though if the venue already has a rig they're happy to use it.
Performance options
You can have them as a duo, a trio or a four piece, and there are two ways to shape the night. The standard option runs between one and three live sets of 45 minutes each. The other starts smaller: a half hour solo acoustic set over canapes or pre-dinner drinks, then two 45-minute sets with the full band once everyone is seated and fed.
