About
The Offbeats is a cover band for hire in Gold Coast, QLD.
Four young players from the Gold Coast with a live show built to get people off their seats. The Offbeats work through rock and party covers from the 70s to now, and they've put in the hours on the local circuit: Beenleigh Tavern, Koala Tavern, the Wallaby Hotel, Tugun Leagues Club, Southport Sharks, Mo's Desert Clubhouse, Paradise Point Bowls, Canungra Hotel more than once, plus festival sets at Jacobs Well Tavern and the Gold Coast Show. They carry their own PA and can swap to electric drums where noise limits apply, so a room with a volume cap isn't a dead end. Give them stage space for four and they'll handle the rest. Insured.
Watch
The show
Party rock and pub rock, drawn from the 70s right up to what's charting now. Four Gold Coast players, loud enough to fill a room, and the material is chosen for a dance floor rather than a listening audience. It's the kind of set that works in a tavern, a leagues club or a backyard with the fence panels rattling.
On the day
Space for four musicians is the main thing, whether that's a proper stage or just a cleared corner of the room. Sound is covered, since the band own their PA. If your venue has a noise limit, say so up front: they carry electric drums as well as an acoustic kit and can swap over, which usually solves it.
