About
The MVP Band is a cover band for hire in Sydney, NSW.
Twenty years of stage time behind them, and a Sydney band that scales to whatever the room needs. Book the MVP Band as a soloist or duo for a quieter, smaller footprint, or take the full electrified line-up when you want the floor moving, with a DJ, pianist or string section added if it suits. Male and female leads can front it together. The repertoire is deep and unfussy about genre: ABBA, AC/DC, The Angels, Amy Winehouse, Bill Withers, The Black Keys, Bruce Springsteen, Australian Crawl. Pick your songs from it, or ask them to learn one. Modern PA and lighting come along, a mic is there for speeches, and they need two hours to set up before guests arrive. Public liability cover is held.

The show
Twenty years of playing sits behind this, and what you notice is the admin as much as the music. They'll take your calls and emails as often as you need them, hand you the microphone for speeches and announcements, and either play your own playlist before and after the sets or handle the background music themselves. Choose songs from their repertoire so you know what's coming, or ask them to learn something specific. The PA and lighting are modern and tidy. And the format bends: soloist, duo, trio, band, DJ, strings, or male and female leads together.
On the day
Two hours in the venue before guests arrive is what they ask for, along with access to the space during that window so everything is up, tested and quiet by the time the first person walks in. The size of the setup is yours to choose. A soloist or duo takes a small footprint and keeps the volume down, and the full electrified band needs more room and more power. Tell them which you're after and they'll advise on the space it needs.
Performance options
Line-ups run from a soloist through duo, trio, four piece and five piece, with a DJ, a pianist or a string section available alongside. Male and female leads can front it together. That range is what lets one booking cover a full wedding: ceremony, canapes, dinner and reception all handled by the same people. Corporate events and private functions like birthdays, engagements and christenings work the same way, and there's a cafe and restaurant option for something more low key.
