About
The $layers is a cover band for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Vocals, keyboards and live drums over DJ decks, so the music never fully stops between numbers. The $layers work out of Brisbane as a trio, and the musical director behind them has toured internationally directing pop acts and produced chart-topping, award-winning records. That background shows up in rooms of every size. Stadiums, nightclubs, island resorts, convention centres for corporate galas, and small private nights where the whole thing has to fit in a corner. The set leans towards 1995 to 2010 but the repertoire is big enough to steer somewhere else if your crowd wants it. Insured. All they need is power nearby, and cover from the rain if you're outdoors.
Watch
The show
Upbeat music and musicians who are easy company. The $layers play it for fun and the room tends to catch on quickly, with a set pitched at good times rather than close listening.
On the day
Power within reach of the performance area. Outdoors, they'll need cover from rain.
Performance options
What the trio bring depends on where your event is happening and how much production gear the room calls for. Some venues need very little, others need a full rig brought in or hired. Tell them about the space and the scale when you enquire and they will work out what suits.
