The Kopy Katz is a cover band for hire in Wollongong, NSW.
A Wollongong trio with a wide net: easy listening, 80s and 90s hits, country and rock and roll, all chosen around who's in the room. Di will teach the floor a line dance or two while she's there, which tends to get people up. Expect singing along, because the songs are ones people recognise, and dancers across every age group. It suits morning melodies, clubs, weddings and functions. Insurances are current. One small thing worth mentioning: they load in on trolleys, so easy access to the room makes everyone's night simpler.
The show
Dancing, from a fairly wide age range, is the honest answer. The trio picks songs people recognise, so there's a lot of singing along that nobody planned on doing. Easy listening, 80s and 90s, country and rock and roll, chosen around whoever is in front of them rather than a fixed list. Di will run a line dance for anyone willing, which has a way of getting the reluctant ones off their chairs. It works as well at a morning melodies session as it does at a wedding or a club night.
On the day
One thing to think about: the PA and gear come in on trolleys, so easy access from where they can park to where they'll play makes a real difference. A flight of stairs or a long way round the building turns a short load-in into a long one. Worth checking with your venue about the closest door. Everything else they bring themselves.
