The Hurricanes Band is a cover band for hire in Adelaide, SA.
Adelaide's The Hurricanes Band carry a playlist deep enough to handle a whole evening, from quieter sets while people eat through to three or four hours of dance floor. The material leans classic: Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, Eagles, Cold Chisel, INXS, Divinyls, Crowded House, Dragon, Queen, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Paul Kelly and Skyhooks, with a bit of Black Keys and Amy Winehouse for good measure. They'll shape the list to your event and work around formalities, and you're welcome to use their PA for speeches. They bring their own kit and need power or a generator outdoors. Lighting and staging can be arranged. Insured.
The show
The band's own good time is the point, because it spreads. They'll shape the playlist around your night and work around whatever formalities the run sheet holds, so speeches, cake and presentations don't collide with a guitar solo. And you're welcome to use their PA when it's time to talk, which saves hiring a separate microphone for the one part of the evening where everybody has to hear clearly. Expect the classics done straight: Fleetwood Mac, Chisel, INXS, Crowded House, Queen.
On the day
The PA belongs to the band, so there's no hire to arrange at your end. What they need is access to mains power. If the show is outdoors and away from a building, a generator does the job instead, and it's worth sorting that early rather than on the afternoon. Lighting and staging can be organised through them if your venue has neither.
Performance options
An evening show usually runs three to four hours of music, which covers dinner through to the end of the dancing. Shorter bookings are possible if your event doesn't need that much, so tell them the hours you're working with. They cover 50km around Adelaide as standard and will look at going further, out to the Fleurieu or Mannum for instance, by arrangement.
