Shades is a newer name on the Queensland covers scene, put together by guitarist, programmer and musical director Rod Fraser, who picked each member for style, voice and stage presence rather than availability. The focus is current pop, rock and R and B, with a few older classics dropped in to catch the rest of the room. It is a versatile and energetic act built to entertain rather than fill space. Worth considering if you want something newer than the standard function band repertoire.
