About
Paul Moleta is a cover band for hire in Sunshine Coast, QLD.
Rock, pop and country rock from the 80s through the 2000s, played loud enough to fill a room. The Paul Moleta Band covers U2, Bon Jovi, The Killers, Kings of Leon and Blink 182, and the wider list pulls in Mustang Sally, Sweet Home Alabama, Proud Mary, Never Tear Us Apart, Better by the Screaming Jets and April Sun in Cuba. They'll go up to four hours and can shape the setlist around what a particular venue's crowd actually wants. There's original material too, which suits festivals more than a function. Sunshine Coast based and happy to travel. If you're putting them outdoors, they'll need the stage covered.
Watch
The show
Eighties through to the 2000s, played the way those songs were meant to be played. U2, Bon Jovi, The Killers, Kings of Leon, Blink 182, and the list keeps going well past that. It's a singalong night more than a listening one. The band pitch it at people who'll know every word and at people who just fancy a decent night out, and the mix generally lands somewhere the whole room can meet. Rock, pop and country rock, with enough volume to fill the space.
On the day
If the gig's outdoors, the stage needs to be covered. That's the main one. A big screen or projector is useful if you have access to it.
Performance options
Four hours of playing is the outer limit, drawn from a long list running eighties, nineties and 2000s through to current material, taking in alternative rock, pop rock and country rock. The setlist can be shaped around what your venue's crowd actually responds to rather than dropped in unchanged. They also have their own original songs, which suit a festival bill better than a function room.
