About
Living In The 70s / Living In The 80s is a cover band for hire in Byron Bay, NSW.
Three hours and more of the decade's biggest songs, played by a trio who know how to work a room. Living In The 70s and Living In The 80s cover new wave, stadium anthems, pub rock and the pop tunes everyone still knows: 25 or 6 to 4, Ballroom Blitz, April Sun in Cuba, Baker Street, Born to Run, Black Magic Woman, Boys Light Up, Another Brick in the Wall. Expect plenty of talking to the audience rather than a band staring at its shoes. Sets can stretch to four hours across three one hour blocks, with production and lighting included. On site they need flat ground, cover in case of rain, two power outlets and parking near the stage.
Watch
The show
Three hours plus of the decade's biggest songs, played loud and played properly. The trio talk to the crowd rather than staring at the fretboard, which is the difference between people watching a band and people having a night. Rock and groove hits, the ones a mixed room already knows the words to. Expect the dance floor to fill early and stay that way.
On the day
Flat ground to set up on, and something over the top in case the weather turns. Two power outlets. Easy access from the vehicle to the performance area, and parking close by, because there's a fair bit of gear to carry.
Performance options
Up to four hours of music, usually shaped as three one hour sets with breaks between. Production and lighting come as part of it, so you're not hiring a rig separately or hoping the venue has something usable.
