About
Hush Money AUD is a cover band for hire in Central Coast Council, NSW.
Hush Money AUD are a four piece from the Central Coast who don't play covers straight. They rewire them, pushing songs towards soul, disco, ska and rock while keeping the hooks people need in order to get up and sing along. And the structure is different too. Most bands play three short sets. This lot do two long ones across a three hour show with a single break, which keeps a room from going flat halfway through the night. The 43 song list runs from Dancing Queen and Come Together to Toxic, Bad Guy, Blue Monday and Feel Good Inc. They bring their own PA. All they ask for is somewhere to park.
Watch
The show
People who never dance end up dancing. That's the thing Hush Money AUD hear most, and the reason is buried in how the songs are built. There's a ska pulse running underneath, a disco backbeat on the drums, and acoustic guitar played percussively over the top with a country rock rhythm driving it. Familiar songs, rewired. So your guests get the hooks they came for and something they weren't expecting at the same time.
On the day
Hush Money AUD turn up with their own PA, so the venue doesn't need to supply sound. The only genuine ask is somewhere to park close enough to unload, which sounds trivial until you've watched a four piece carry gear across a car park in the rain. Let them know the loading arrangements at your venue and they'll work with whatever it is.
