Hamilton Alley is a cover band for hire in Newcastle, NSW.
Hamilton Alley are a Newcastle blues and soul band with a habit of rebuilding songs rather than copying them. Back in Black gets a funk treatment. So do Sledgehammer, Dreams and Chain of Fools. Chandelier turns funky, Valerie goes soul, and Stayin' Alive comes out somewhere else entirely. Alongside the reworks are Levitating, Get Lucky, Higher Ground, Long Train Runnin' and Beggin. The multi-part vocal harmonies are the thing that separates them from the usual covers outfit. Live sound is strong and the lighting rig can be set up to suit the room. They also work as a duo or trio. The full band prefers two to two and a half hours to set up. Public liability insurance held.

Blues and soul played tight, by a band that's easy to have around. The live sound is strong, which is not something every covers band can claim, and the lighting rig gets set up to suit the room rather than the same way every night. It's a fun set without being loud for its own sake.

The full band would like two to two and a half hours to set up, though it shifts depending on the venue and the rig. If your run sheet can't stretch that far, say so when you enquire and they'll talk through what's workable.

Hamilton Alley come in three sizes. The full Newcastle band is the biggest sound, with the multi-part harmonies and the reworked arrangements at full strength. Drop to a trio or a duo and the same material scales down for smaller rooms or quieter parts of an evening. Tell them the space and the kind of night and they will suggest which line-up fits.
