About
Gypsys Kiss is a cover band for hire in Dee Why, NSW.
Don't book Gypsy's Kiss for quiet background music. This Dee Why four piece plays rock and blues covers, three hours plus of them, with Clapton, Creedence, Muddy Waters, Neil Young, Pink Floyd, the Stones, ZZ Top, Status Quo and Chuck Berry all in the book. Sets run through things like Wish You Were Here, Proud Mary, Cortez the Killer, Comfortably Numb and Sunshine of Your Love. They've done birthdays, charity functions, weddings, parties and a few funerals. The gear is good and it travels, including electronic drums for rooms where volume is a problem. They'll play outdoors, weather permitting, and they turn up on time.
The show
Three hours or more of rock and blues covers, and no pretence that this is background music. Clapton, Creedence, Muddy Waters, Neil Young, Pink Floyd, the Stones, ZZ Top, Chuck Berry - the book runs deep and the four of them clearly enjoy playing it. Wish You Were Here, Proud Mary, Cortez the Killer, Comfortably Numb, Sunshine of Your Love all get an outing. They've played birthdays, charity nights, weddings, parties and a few funerals, and they'll work around anything particular you need on the day. If it's a public gig, they'll help push it around on socials and local pages.
On the day
They'll fit into almost any room as long as there's power. Room for a drum kit and three guitarists standing, plus the PA, and that's about the size of it. Their own gear is modern and good, and it includes electronic drums, which is the answer if the venue has a noise limit or the neighbours are close. A stage isn't needed. Outdoors is fine, though not if the weather looks like getting at the equipment.
