Goldplay is a cover band for hire in Adelaide, SA.
Five pieces, four sets of forty minutes, fifteen minute breaks in between. Goldplay run the arithmetic of a proper Adelaide party band and then fill it with the songs that get people up: Nutbush City Limits, Higher and Higher, Get Ready, Proud Mary, Honky Tonk Woman, Mustang Sally, Long Way to the Top. The catalogue starts in the 1970s and keeps going, taking in AC/DC, ABBA, Fleetwood Mac, the Rolling Stones, Jimmy Barnes, The Bamboos and Jimmy Eat World. PA and lighting come with the band, along with a bit of audience participation. They'll want ninety minutes in the room beforehand for setup and a sound check. Public liability insurance is in place.

The show
Four sets, forty minutes each, with a quarter hour off in between. That's the shape of the night, and Goldplay fill it with the songs that get South Australians off their chairs - Nutbush, Proud Mary, Mustang Sally, Long Way to the Top. Five players, PA and lighting included. They don't stand back and play at you either. Expect a bit of audience participation, the kind where the room ends up singing a chorus back at the stage without being asked twice.
On the day
Ninety minutes in the room before doors is the one thing Goldplay ask for. Five musicians, a PA and a lighting rig take a while to get up and squared away, and the sound check has to happen with the room quiet rather than half full. Get them in early enough and the first song lands properly instead of being the thing they use to find the levels.
