About
Fusion X is a cover band for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Fusion X are a five piece from Brisbane playing funk, disco and soul, and the whole point of the band is keeping people on the floor. The set pulls from Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind & Fire, Chic, Jamiroquai, Aretha Franklin, Bruno Mars, Amy Winehouse and Dua Lipa, with September, Uptown Funk, I Will Survive and Valerie in the mix. Up to four 45 minute sets are available. They also offer an acoustic trio of female vocals, piano and saxophone, or a piano and sax duo, for the dinner and canape stretch before the band kicks in. They've played Lefty's and Doo-Bop. They ask for a 45 minute sound check and carry public liability insurance.

The show
Five piece from Brisbane, playing funk, disco and soul with one job in mind: keeping people on the dance floor from the first song to the last. That focus shapes what goes into the set and what gets left out. There's also a quieter option for earlier in the night, an acoustic trio of female vocals, piano and saxophone, or a piano and sax duo, playing through dinner and canapes before the band takes over and the room changes gear.
On the day
They ask for a 45 minute sound check, and they mean it. A ten minute plug and play isn't something they'll take on, because it shows in the sound and the night ends up worse for it. Riders are available if your venue needs one.
Performance options
Up to four 45 minute sets are available, which covers a full evening. Before the band starts you can add the acoustic trio, female vocals with piano and saxophone, or the instrumental duo of piano and sax, for background music through dinner or canapes. It gives the night a shape: something warm early on, then the floor fills.
