Dirty Lowdown is a cover band for hire in Adelaide, SA.
Guitar, keyboards, drums and vocals. Three players with 140 years between them, working through well known songs and bending them a little in the process. Bluesy and funky, slick without being polite about it. The artists behind the set say it best: Steely Dan, Boz Scaggs, Bill Withers, Freddie King, Robben Ford, Sting, Pink Floyd, Toto and Van Morrison. Adelaide based, and they bring their own PA and lights. Wineries and pubs are the usual home, with the occasional private show.

Three players who have been doing this a long time, and it shows in how a set holds together. The material is deliberately familiar, drawn from artists most of the room will recognise, but it's played properly rather than knocked out. Think polished rather than loud. Good for a winery afternoon or a pub where people want something worth listening to while they drink.

Clear enough floor for three players and their gear, and the rest is handled. Dirty Lowdown bring their own PA and their own lights, which is why they fit into wineries and pub corners that were never built with a band in mind. Guitar, keyboards and drums don't need a stage, just somewhere they can all see each other.
