About
Curbside is a cover band for hire in Bondi Beach, NSW.
Classic rock and Oz rock, played by a band that knows the difference. Curbside work through Amy Winehouse, Tina Turner, Billy Joel, Creedence, The Doors, Steely Dan, Tom Petty, The Black Keys, Beatles, Stones, Kinks, The Who, Queen and the Yardbirds, then swing hard into home turf: Cold Chisel, Daddy Cool, Divinyls, Dragon, Hoodoo Gurus, Paul Kelly, Sunnyboys, Masters Apprentices. Based at Bondi Beach. They're fully self contained with their own lights and PA, though they're happy to use house systems where a venue has them, given a bit of notice. Easy going with venue staff, which matters more than most bands admit.
Watch
The show
Straight-ahead entertainment from a band that's easy to have around. Every member of Curbside gets on with venue staff and management rather than treating them as an obstacle, which sounds like a footnote until you've dealt with the alternative. Bar managers remember the bands that made the night simple.
On the day
Curbside carry everything: their own PA and their own lights, so a room with nothing in it is fine. Where a venue runs in-house sound or lighting, they're happy to use it, they'd just like to know beforehand rather than finding out on arrival. A quick heads-up when you book saves a van full of gear coming in for no reason.
