About
Cool Heat is a cover band for hire in Forresters Beach, NSW.
Jazz, rock and blues from the Central Coast, played by a band that leans toward weddings and parties. Cool Heat is set up as a full live rig: amps, drum kit, foldback, mixing desk, PA and lighting if you want it. They ask for room to fit all of that, and they like to arrive well ahead of time so the sound is properly mixed before a single guest walks in. Clubs and restaurants are on the list too.
The show
Jazz, rock and blues, played by a band that does most of its work at weddings and parties. That's the sweet spot for them and it shows in how the night is paced. Clubs and restaurants are on the list too, where the jazz end of the repertoire tends to get more air. Central Coast based, so the trip is short if you're anywhere near Forresters Beach.
On the day
Room is the main thing. Amplifiers, a drum kit, foldback speakers, the mixing desk, the PA and lighting if you want it all have to fit somewhere, so a cramped corner won't do it. The other request is time. They like to be in the venue well ahead of your start so the mix is right before the first guest arrives, rather than getting it there during the opening bracket. Build that into the schedule when you book the room.
