About
Blue Vinyl is a cover band for hire in Central Coast, NSW.
Weddings and functions are the bread and butter here, across Sydney, the Central Coast, Newcastle and the Hunter. Blue Vinyl formed four years ago and the players carry more than 30 years of experience between them, though nobody would guess it from the energy. Setlists move from funk and soul through to current pop and rock: Superstition, Uptown Funk, Billie Jean, Valerie, Get Lucky, Mr Brightside, Kiss, Thinking Out Loud. It's the same musicians every time, which is not true of every band this size. PA, lights and music for both ceremony and reception are covered. All they ask for is power. Insured for public liability.
The show
The same faces turn up every time. Blue Vinyl are a close knit group rather than a rotating pool of players, so the band at your wedding is the band you heard, and they've worked together long enough to know how each other plays. That consistency is worth more than it looks on paper. It's the difference between a set that flows and one that's technically correct.
Performance options
Packages get built around the day rather than picked off a list, and the shape depends on how many hours you need and where the venue is. Full PA and lighting come as part of it, which takes sound hire off your list entirely. Music for the ceremony is covered as well as the reception, which means the same team handles the aisle, the drinks and the dance floor without a handover in the middle. Tell them the run sheet and they'll put the hours where they're needed.
