About
Big Bad is a cover band for hire in Mermaid Beach, QLD.
Mikey, Terry, J-Sax and Paulie play 50s, 60s and 70s swing, soul and rock and roll on the Gold Coast, and they hold the title of Queensland's number one rock and roll act. Jump and jive dancers are the target audience, and the floor tends to fill accordingly. There's a saxophone in the mix, which is what separates this from a straight guitar band. They ask for a dry, covered performance area with power close by.

The show
Mikey, Terry, J-Sax and Paulie play 50s, 60s and 70s swing, soul and rock and roll, and they aim it squarely at people who want to dance. Jump and jive crowds are the natural audience. The saxophone in the line-up is what gives it the swing feel rather than a straight-ahead guitar sound. They hold the title of Queensland's number one rock and roll act, so the dance floor is used to filling up.
On the day
What "BIG BAD" need is a dry, covered performance area that's safe to work in, with power close by and easy to get to. Straightforward enough indoors. Outdoors it's worth checking the spot has cover overhead and a power point within reach before the day.
