About
Across The Ages is a cover band for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Three players, three part harmonies, and a sound much bigger than the headcount suggests. Across The Ages are a Brisbane power trio: Steven Tannock on guitar and vocals, Bruce 'Fog' Fogarty on drums and Greg 'GBass' Tschernez on bass, with all three singing. The set is classic rock built for a dance floor, Proud Mary, Sweet Home Alabama, Highway to Hell, Khe Sanh, Horses and Hotel California among them. Live drums mean they need proper room to set up, but one power supply usually runs the whole show, sound and lighting included, all of it their own gear.
The show
Three players and three voices, and the harmonies are the reason it sounds like more. Across The Ages are a Brisbane trio: guitar, bass and a real drum kit, no backing tracks propping anything up. The set is classic rock chosen for people who want to be on their feet, so expect singalongs as much as dancing. All three are regulars on the local scene, which shows in how tight the thing is when they get going.
On the day
Live drums take up room, so the main thing to sort is enough floor for a three piece with a full kit set up properly. Power is simple: one supply generally runs the lot. Sound and lighting are theirs, brought in and set up on the day, so the venue doesn't need to own a PA or find a lighting rig for you.
