About
Kurdaz County is a country band for hire in Mareeba, QLD.
Rodeos and race meetings have been Kurdaz County Band's regular circuit for years, and it shows in how they handle a big open crowd. The set runs from 70s and 80s country through newer country material and into rock and roll favourites, played by experienced musicians with strong vocals up front. Based in Mareeba, far north Queensland. The deal takes in a PA sized to the venue, stage lighting, country DJ music through the breaks and an MC with portable microphones if you want the whole event covered. They'll need a covered stage of at least 6m by 3m for outdoor shows, and two hours before the gig to set up and sound check.
On the day
Outdoors, they need a stage with a roof over it, and a minimum of 6m by 3m to work in. Cover isn't a nicety in far north Queensland, it's the difference between a gig and a soaked PA. They also want access two hours before the start so everything can be built and sound checked properly rather than rushed. Build that access window into your timings when you're booking the venue, because it's the thing most people forget until the day.
Performance options
The deal covers more than the band playing. A PA gets matched to the size of your venue rather than hauled in one-size-fits-all, and stage lighting comes with it. Through the breaks they can run country DJ music, so the room doesn't drop into silence between sets. If you'd rather not organise a separate host, an MC can be part of the same arrangement, with portable microphones for announcements and speeches wherever they need to happen.
