About
Makeways Costume is a costume character for hire in Tweed Heads, NSW.
Eight foot robots. Eight foot green superheroes. Tweed Heads based Makeways Costume builds and hires out costumed characters at a scale that changes how a room feels the moment one walks in. There's singing, dancing and games played with the guests, and the superhero characters run training sessions that finish with the kids sworn in as honorary heroes. Many of the suits are one-offs made for this outfit, so you're unlikely to have seen them at another party. Want a character that doesn't exist yet? Ask, and it can be sourced or built. The singers behind the masks have worked sporting events and stages around Tweed Heads. Because of the height, the team plans the space with you first, which matters more than you'd think.
The show
Eight foot tall robots and eight foot tall green superheroes walking into your event does a lot of the work before anyone says a word. From there the characters sing, dance and get into games with your guests. The superheroes run a training session and swear the kids in as honorary heroes at the end of it. The suits are one-offs built for this outfit, so what turns up isn't something your guests have already seen at three other parties.
On the day
They'll plan the space with you rather than turning up and hoping. That conversation matters more than it might sound when a character is eight feet tall: doorways, ceiling height and the route from the car park all become real considerations. Tell them what the venue is like and they'll work out how to get the best effect out of it.
