About
Shash Kapur is a comedian for hire in Sydney, NSW.
Numbers by day, laughs by night. Shash Kapur holds down a corporate job in Sydney and does stand-up on the side, and the same habits carry across both: turn up on time, dress for the occasion, deliver. His material is clean, funny and relatable, which is why he keeps getting called back for corporate gigs, fund-raisers and multicultural events. He'll MC your night, perform a comedy set, or both, and he sometimes brings a second comic along if the event calls for more voices. He asks for a reliable PA and mic setup, and he'll tell you straight that comedy works better in an enclosed room than an open one. Public indemnity insurance is in place.
Watch
The show
Clean material, and that's deliberate. Shash keeps the content relatable and free of anything that'll make a room wince, which is why corporate bookings, fund-raisers and multicultural events make up most of his diary. The habits from his day job come with him: he turns up on time and dressed for the occasion. You can have him hosting the night, doing a comedy set, or both.
On the day
A PA and mic setup that's reliable and ready before guests arrive. One other thing worth knowing: he'd tell you to put the comedy in an enclosed room rather than an open space. Jokes land better when the sound has walls to bounce off.
Performance options
Two straightforward options. He can MC your event, or perform a comedy set for the audience. And when a night wants more than one voice, he'll sometimes bring a second comic along, which is worth raising early.
