OMG Improv is a comedian for hire in Cairns, QLD.
Nothing in an OMG Improv show exists before the audience gives them something to work with. Word play, mime, characterisation, innuendo, singing and full musical scenes, all made up in the moment, which is why no two nights are the same. The troupe runs regular open mic evenings in Cairns and on the Atherton Tablelands, and takes private bookings across Far North Queensland. You choose the flavour: adults only, or family friendly. Audience participation is encouraged either way, so expect to be part of it. Founder Wendy Ramsey has been performing for more than 30 years and now leads a new team. They need a stage or clear area with room to move and, occasionally, dance.
The show

The whole show comes out of whatever the audience hands them, which is why word play, mime, characters, innuendo, singing and full musical scenes can all turn up in one night and never in the same order twice. You pick the flavour when you book: adults only, or family friendly. Either way you're part of it, because audience participation is where the material comes from. Founder Wendy Ramsey has been at this more than thirty years and now runs a newer team through it.
On the day
A stage or just a clear area works, as long as the players have room to move properly. They use the space, and every so often somebody dances, so a cramped corner will cost you some of the show. Regular open mic nights run in Cairns and up on the Atherton Tablelands, and private bookings are taken across Far North Queensland.
