About
Joel Pearse is a comedian for hire in Newcastle, NSW.
Joel Pearse works Newcastle and beyond as a comedian and MC, and he's been described as whisky rather than everyone's cup of tea. Fair enough. The material is R18+ and not one for the kids, so pitch it at the right room and you'll be well served. He also takes on hosting and compering, and can put together a full comedy night for a venue, bringing two to five other comedians for a one to two hour show with sound and lighting sorted. All he needs on the night is a microphone and a PA. Public liability insurance is in place.
Watch
The show
Worth knowing before you book: the material is R18+. It isn't a show for children, and it isn't written to be. Pitch it at an adult room, a club night, a birthday, a work do where nobody's easily rattled, and it'll do exactly what you want.
On the day
Simple list. A microphone and a PA system, provided by you or by the venue. Joel brings himself and the act, and that's the whole technical requirement for a standard stand up or MC booking.
Performance options
Beyond a solo spot, Joel can host or MC your event, and he'll put together a whole comedy night for a venue. That version brings two to five other comedians along with him for a show running one to two hours, with sound and lighting organised as part of it. If you're a venue thinking about starting a regular comedy night, that's the one to ask about.
