About
Carpe Idiotus is a comedian for hire in Sydney, NSW.
Two performers, one guitar, and a show that resists tidy description. Carpe Idiotus fold mime, original comic songs, improvisation and visual theatre into one fast, silly act built for corporate events and festivals. Because so much of the comedy is visual, it lands across ages and language barriers alike. And even the duo admit their promo video explains the show better than they can.

The show
Fair warning, the duo themselves struggle to describe this one. Mime, original comic songs, improvisation and visual theatre all end up in the same fast, silly hour, and it moves between them without much warning. Because so much of it is visual, it plays to mixed ages and to rooms where not everyone shares a first language, which is why it turns up at corporate events and festivals as often as it does. Two performers, one guitar, and very little of it explained on the way past.
On the day
This one needs the venue to provide the sound and lighting, including foldback so the performers can hear themselves. The specifics: two handheld microphones, one straight mic stand, one boom stand and a DI box. Not a long list, but every item on it matters, so pass it to whoever runs your AV well before the day.
