About
Anna Brennan is a comedian for hire in Gympie, QLD.
Anna Brennan can hold a room for five minutes or a full hour, and she's happy either way. She's performed and produced hundreds of stand-up shows, including a stack at Melbourne International Comedy Festival and long regional tours, and she MCs too: weddings, Christmas parties, theatre nights. You choose the rating. She'll work clean for a family crowd or push things for an 18 plus room. And if you want a whole comedy night rather than one act, she puts together full line-ups with comics she trusts. Her drag king alter ego Bruce Hwy is bookable as well. Insured, self-sufficient with gear, and most of all, funny in the way that actually gets booked twice.
Watch
The show
Professionalism and laughter, in that order, because the first is what makes the second possible night after night. Anna Brennan turns up organised, knows how long she is meant to be on for, and does the job properly. That sounds like a low bar until you have booked a comedian who treats it as a favour they are doing you. She will hold five minutes or a full hour and she is comfortable either way.
On the day
A microphone and dim lighting make a real difference, but neither is a dealbreaker and she'll work without them. If you haven't got the gear, she can supply her own.
Performance options
She'll perform solo, or put together a full comedy night with as many other comics as you want. She's picky about who she shares a bill with, and she's built line-ups for multiple festivals including Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Fundraisers get a discount.
