Mr Shaggles is a clown for hire in Middleton, TAS.
The audience is the show. Mr Shaggles is a bumbling ringmaster who spends an hour directing, cajoling and generally talking his crowd into becoming animal trainers, jugglers and acrobats themselves, and the whole point is proving they can actually do it. Juggling, hula hoops, magic, acrobatics, handstands, puppetry, balloon sculpting and clowning all get pulled in, drawn from more than twenty years performing circus around the world. Afterwards there's free-form circus play for anyone who missed out, with juggling, plate spinning, hula hoops and diabolo to have a go at, and a balloon animal for anyone who asks. Based in Middleton, Tasmania, and suited to parties, fetes, fairs and festivals.

The show
The hour runs on the audience doing the work. Mr Shaggles pulls people up to train animals, juggle, hula hoop and tumble, and the comedy comes from him herding them through it. Nobody leaves thinking it was a trick of the staging either, because the point is showing that the person who just did it on stage really did do it. Magic and acrobatics fill out the rest. After the applause he sets up free-form circus play so anyone who missed a turn gets one, with plate spinning, hoops and diabolo to try, and a balloon animal for anyone who asks.
