About
Al Kazam the Magic Man is a children's magician for hire in Perth, WA.
The birthday child is the star of every show. Al Kazam builds each performance around them, pulling kids up as volunteers and keeping the whole room laughing with comedy magic that's interactive from start to finish. Shows can pair with balloon work, from a single special creation for the birthday child through to balloon sculptures, games and prizes for every kid at the party. And it's not just birthdays: Al Kazam performs at OSHC centres, schools, aged care homes and company functions around Perth, with different shows tailored to each audience, plus a magic teaching workshop for vacation care. Setup is simple, with everything needed brought along. Holds full public liability insurance and a WA working with children card.
The show
Old fashioned party magic, and the laughs are the point. The birthday child is the star of the whole thing, not a spectator, and the rest of the room gets pulled in as volunteers throughout. It's interactive from the first trick to the last, so nobody sits still for very long.
On the day
Simple. He brings everything the show needs and there's nothing for you to organise beforehand. Clear a bit of space where the kids can sit and watch, and that covers it.
Performance options
Three levels for a kids' party. Silver is the magic show plus a special balloon creation for the birthday child. Gold adds balloon sculptures for every child at the party, not just the birthday one, which saves the usual round of small disappointed faces. Platinum is the biggest: magic show, then interactive music based games run so nobody gets knocked out and sent to sit down, with prizes and balloons for all the kids. For out of school hours care there's a different offering, either a magic show or a hands on workshop where the children get taught some magic themselves.
