Amazing Drumming Monkeys is a children's band for hire in Adelaide, SA.
Kids drumming, parents drumming, everyone laughing at the same time. That's the whole idea behind the Amazing Drumming Monkeys, a puppet and percussion show from Adelaide that's toured Australia and overseas for 20 years, with WOMADelaide among the credits. Standard shows run 30 minutes; schools, kindies and childcare centres can book the 40 minute version where the audience gets drums too. The show travels with its own PA where driving distance allows, and slots into festivals, corporate family days, theatres and private parties. Public liability insurance and Working With Children clearances held.

The show
Drums come out and the audience stops being an audience. Kids bang along, parents end up doing the same, and the puppets keep the whole thing moving. Two decades of touring around Australia and overseas have sanded the rough edges off this show, so it lands whether you've got thirty children in a hall or a festival crowd spread across a lawn. Expect noise, expect laughing, expect a few adults who came to supervise and stayed to play.
On the day
It comes down to how far away you are. Within driving distance, the show arrives with its own PA and the only ask is a power point nearby. For a bigger stage, or anywhere that needs a flight in, you'll want a PA already in place at the venue. Microphones travel with the act either way, but five XLR leads need to be waiting so everything can plug into your system.
