About
La Familia is a band for hire.
La Familia play authentic salsa alongside reggae, afrobeats, dancehall and classic R&B and soul, and they play it properly. The band has toured internationally across Australia and Asia and worked global hotel and cruise contracts, sharing stages with renowned Cuban salsa musicians in Cuba and elsewhere. Playing salsa with Cuban musicians in Cuba is about as direct a test of the form as exists. The result works for luxury weddings, corporate events, festivals and straight dance floors, and it stays elegant while still moving a room.
