About
Blue Ride is a band for hire in Sydney, NSW.
Three blokes from Sydney on drums, bass and guitar, and all three of them sing, so the harmonies are real rather than a backing track. Blue Ride play classic hits across the 60s through the 90s, mostly rock, blues and pop, plus their own blues roots originals. Over 100 songs on the list and you're welcome to pick the sets yourself. They turn up with good gear, proper sound and lights. Pubs, clubs, weddings, festivals, corporate nights and outdoor events, plus charity work every year. They'll want about 12 square metres of dry space and two wall sockets. Insured.
Watch
The show
Classic hits, played properly, by three blokes who all sing. That's the thing worth knowing here. The lead vocal is strong and the other two are on backing harmonies, so what you hear is three real voices rather than a track filling in the gaps. The set is stacked with songs people want to sing along to and dance to. They clearly love doing it, and that's usually obvious from the floor within a couple of numbers.
On the day
Twelve square metres is the minimum, and it needs to be dry and safe underfoot. Two 240 volt wall sockets as well, so if you're setting up in a hall or a backyard, check where the power actually is before the day. Nothing else on the list.
