About
Drummergirl is an African drumming ensemble for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Simone Lang leads Drummergirl, a Melbourne project bringing women drummers together around West African rhythms. Simone's study of Mandingue drumming informs both the performances and the teaching. The group offers stage appearances, interactive shows and practical workshops, supplying drums for participants in workshop sessions. Programs can be adapted for a small celebration or a larger event, with participation central to the interactive options.
